THE Islington Midweek League witnessed a historic giant-killing when Division Two leaders Unity (right) knocked Premiership side Admiral out of the Invitation Cup at Market Road.

Unity’s top goalscorer Samuel Oluwafemi grabbed the only goal of the game, his ninth of the season, with a thunderous effort. As expected, Unity goalkeeper Matt Summers had to be at his best. He capped a man-of-the-match display with a string of fantastic saves.

Manager Winston Jones said: “It was a challenging game – the team showed good character to bring us through into the next round.”
