Get into the festive spirit – help us fill hampers with treats

THERE has been a festive nip in the air this week as the temperatures began to plummet.
The Christmas spirit has well and truly arriving in Islington – but there are few better ways to get in the festive mood than knowing you’re helping someone less fortunate.
As such, we are asking residents to consider donating to our annual Christmas Hamper Appeal. Each year we take a box of treats to bring cheer to residents, including pensioners living alone and families who have gone through severe hardship.
We know that the gifts may not end their struggles, but we hope they will bring a reminder that no one should miss out on the celebrations.
We are also asking people to come up with ideas to raise money, such as pub quizzes or a sponsored run.
