Garden waste collections – the latest
Friday, 24th April 2020
• I AM writing to clear up queries that have arisen around the garden waste collection.
On March 31 subscriptions for the garden waste collection service were temporarily paused until April 6. Once we could be confident of having enough staff to run the service given the impact of Covid-19, subscriptions reopened.
Before the end of March nearly 1,000 households had signed up for 2020-21 after receiving an email from us, and over the past three weeks a further 1,616 have subscribed.
Residents wishing to receive garden waste collections can do so at camden.gov.uk/garden-waste-collection, or by ringing Veolia on 020 3567 8105.
I would like to extend my thanks to all the Veolia staff and Camden’s environment services officers for working so hard to maintain street cleaning and collections services (including recycling and general refuse) at this difficult time.
If residents would like to thank front-line Veolia workers, there is a new campaign called #StreetSmiles to enable this, put a picture of a smiling sun in a prominent place to send your thanks.
