TEAM Camden continued their long-running success at the Inter Borough Challenge on Sunday when they captured the prestigious shield for the 14th year in a row.
Held at Finsbury Park, a super squad of 68 runners all played their part as Camden outscored rival teams from Islington, Hackney, City of London and Haringey.
The borough’s best result came in the girls’ Under-17s age group, which was run over 2.5km, where Georgia Fear and Hannah Viner finished first and second respectively.
Other top individual performances saw Lilah Fear win the girls’ Under-15s race, while Oliver Haddad and Alistair Sleeman both finished second in their respective Under-13s and Under-15s boys’ races.
The success didn’t stop there with talented trio Bella Doolan, Daisy Griffin and Austin Harris all bagging bronze medals.
There was further good news for 48 members of the team, which is managed by Ben Dorsett from Camden’s Physical Activity Team and supported by Highgate Harriers coach Graham Norris.
They have been selected to represented Camden once again in April, this time tackling the streets of London in the mini-marathon.
