• HOW remarkable it is every single week to read the comments of yet another local “residents’ association” stating the same as the last “residents’ association”, each in turn when faced by a much-needed property development near them declare they are “not against new housing…but just not this housing”!

Are they fooling anyone? Does anyone believe that these small and unrepresentative collections of Nimbys are actually not against new housing?

We in Camden are in the epicentre of a colossal national housing crisis, and unfortunately our councils are being bullied by these Nimby groups who do not care about anyone but themselves.

I hope the councillors up for re-election understand that there are people living in this community who, unlike the “residents’ associations” that pretend to represent us, actually care about it growing and becoming more affordable.
