SUNDAY probably seemed like a sleepy day for film producers shooting a new movie in King’s Cross, the perfect time of the week to get some scenes in the bag without too much disturbance.

But Sunday was like no other Sunday and spare a thought for Bill Nighy and the rest of the cast and crew of Living who persevered against the unpredictable but loud noise of football fans arriving at the station for the Euros final against Italy.

It is understood several takes had to be redone during the back-street shoot because of an unwelcome background soundtrack of excited fans belting out versions of Vindaloo and Sweet Caroline.

In Living, Mr Nighy plays a man in London 1952 found assessing his life after being told he has a terminal illness.
