HAMPSTEAD’S boys’ captain Sam Arthur joked that the club will have to “build a new trophy room” following yet more success on the pitch.

The under-13s boys’ team clinched the championship in the Camden and Regent’s Park Youth League, while Hampstead’s under-12s girls were victorious in the Capital Girls League.

After seeing yet more silverware added to the trophy cabinet, manager Andy Histed said: “This is a great achievement for our boys and girls teams.

“We have also had sides gaining promotion in the Harrow Youth League and competing at a high level in the Watford Friendly League and the Camden and Islington League, so the club has enjoyed a successful season all round.

“We are not intending to rest on our laurels though. We are always on the lookout for more players and have trials starting on May 15. It’s a great opportunity for dedicated boys and girls to try out for our teams.”
