TWO goals from Emmanuel Makaya helped keep Lyndhurst’s title hopes alive in the Under-9s ‘A’ Division of the Camden & Islington Youth League on Friday.
Ben Julian added a superb third as Lyndhurst beat Pro Touch Soccer Academy 3-1 at Market Road. Serak Seyoum, Harry Howe, Cameron Saunders and Rees Jones also all put in outstanding displays to cap a great team performance from the league leaders.
Table-toppers Isledon Wolves comfortably brushed aside a depleted Somers Town team on Friday in the Under-12s ‘A’ Division of the Camden and Islington Youth League.
The high-flying side boasted five different scorers as Jayden Rose, skipper Keiron Loughney, Ryan Ward, Ethan Irvine and Abraham Henao all hit the back of the net in a scintillating 5-0 win.
Isledon Wolves tightened their grip on the title with their 12th win on the spin in the Under-15s Harrow Youth League. Star player Abdul Mansaray grabbed a brace, while Kelsen Newell and Marcio Incopte were also on target in a thrilling 4-2 victory over Benfica.
Locomotive Youth overcame all the odds to record a resounding 7-1 victory away at Leyton United on Sunday in the Under-15s Premier Division of the Cheshunt Youth League.
With just the bare minimum 11 players and no regular keeper, the Camden-based side went into the tie with some trepidation.
The uphill challenge, however, simply brought the best out in Locomotive as they powered their way to all three points.
Bilal Sayoud and Aaron Hammond scored two goals each, while Ej Gyebi, Euan Taylor-Reid and Jake Casey were also all on target.
