CHAPEL Boys were crowned Year 7 and 8 champions at a special Kick Racism Out of Football-themed Community Cup competition at Market Road on Friday.

More than 140 young footballers from clubs and estates across Islington competed for honours in the seven-a-side tournament, which was sponsored by Homes for Islington and organised by the Access to Sports project.

An unbeaten finish in the group stages saw Chapel surge into the quarter-finals where they beat Toffee Park 5-0 before beating Islington Allstars 1-0 in the semi-finals.

Led by club captain Jack Richardson, Chapel beat Stoke Newington 1-0 in the final thanks to a clinical finish from Matthew O’Hara.
