FOOTBALLERS as young as six returned home to a heroes’ welcome at the weekend after netting glory at the West Country Cup in Newquay.

Players from the Pro Touch Soccer Academy were in scintillating form as they won the under-8s competition on Friday following three days of thrills and spills in Cornwall.

Managed by TJ O’Leary and Daniel Mahoney, the youngsters are being rewarded for their success at the six-a-side tournament with a friendly away at West Ham United on Friday.
