Soccerscool FC players sharpened their summer skills on Sunday as they clinched silverware at the Edmonton Rangers Youth tournament.
The under-11s just missed out on being crowned cup kings as they were beaten 1-0 in the final by Ryan FC.
The worthy runners-up still had plenty to celebrate as they topped their group on their way to qualifying for the knock-out stages, where they beat hosts Edmonton Rangers Youth 4-0 in the quarter-finals.
Keeper Archie Campbell was the hero in the semi-finals as he saved three penalties in a shoot-out against Chettlecourt Rangers after the game finished goalless.
Defenders Siem Yared and Max Preston were terrific at the back, while Xavier Cumberbatch, Noah Britten, Joe Bolger, Jamie Francois and Jack Matthews showed great technical ability in midfield.
In a superb team display, Finlay MacNab and Thomas Harrison also played well as they led the Soccerscool attack.
