RETURNING manager John Paul Eyles wasted little time working his magic as he led Dover Castle (above) to a convincing 4-0 win over FC Mutant in the opening round of the Jack Walker Shield.

Following the departure of Scott Tuohy earlier in the month, club founder Eyles jumped back into the hot seat to wrestle with a competition he knows only too well, having won it three times already.

“It was good to see the lads pull together and get the result,” he said, following last Thursday’s win.

“This club has been through a difficult spell over the last three months so hopefully things can settle down and we can start to show some consistency in our football.”
