FOOTBALLERS from top youth team ‘A’ Class sparked spectacular celebrations on Saturday when they won the Under-10s London Cup at the first time of asking.

The triumphant team beat Lambeth Tigers 1-0 at the Crystal Palace National Sports Stadium thanks to a fabulous strike from Dan Ambrozio.

Ambrozio picked up the ball in midfield, beat his marker with a drop of the shoulder and played a clever one-two with Waseem Mirza before coolly slotting past the keeper.

Delighted manager Chris Mozo, who also saw the ‘A’ Class under-11s side win the London Cup at the weekend, said: “Lambeth Tigers are by far the best team our Under-10s side have played this year.

“We managed to pull through by being consistent and diligent. We’ve not only won the London Cup, but we’ve also captured the ‘A’ Division title in the Camden and Islington Midweek Youth League.  If all goes well we could do the treble if we win the League Cup at Market Road.”
