LOCOMOTIVE Youth have set their sights on lifting the Cheshunt Youth League Cup for a third year in a row after booking their place in the final on Sunday.

Taking on semi-final rivals Waltham Abbey, the Under-15s side dominated possession and were ahead inside 10 minutes when Bilal Sayoud coolly slotted home a penalty after being tugged back in the box.

Locomotive soon doubled their lead with the goal of the game as defence, midfield and attack all combined in a one-and-two-touch passing move that was finished off by Rushane Cornette-Brown from close range.

Locomotive continued to dominate in the second half and were duly rewarded when Arran Hammond dispatched Jake Casey’s low across.

Sayoud wrapped up a 4-0 win for the Camden-based side late on when he headed home Tommy Govey’s superb cross to grab his second of the game.

Manager Jamie Houghton said: “It’s a fantastic achievement to reach our third final in as many years. Having won the last two, we’ll be endeavouring to complete what would be a tremendous hat-trick.”

Locomotive will now play Brimsdown FC in the final on April 22.
