JAMIE Killingback capped a man-of-the-match display with two goals on Sunday as Phoenix stormed into the semi-finals of the Camden Sunday League Senior Cup.

The midfielder pulled the strings for the cup-holders as they came from a goal down to net a resounding 12-2 victory over AFC Brasenose at Hackney Marshes.

Winger Gio Falzone topped the scoring with a hat-trick while Killingback and Lewis Laws scored two goals each.

Dave Dawson, Paul Dunne, Robert O’Brien, Charlie Kanaris and captain Kevin Duffy were also all on target.

Far from basking in his team’s glut of goals, Phoenix boss Dave Harber (pictured far right) felt the score was harsh on the opposition.

“The scoreline flatters us a bit,” he said. “Brasenose gave us a good game. We wish them all the best for the rest of the season.”

In Division One Reddot held on to top spot after battling out a 1-1 draw against title rivals Cobden Athletic, while the biggest league winners of the weekend at Hackney Marshes were Athletico Annies, who netted a 7-2 victory over AFC Shooters.
