PLAYERS from West End FC (pictured top) put on a five-star performance in front of goal on Saturday as they netted a 5-3 win over Totally Goal.
Keeper Luc Carrier put in a show-stopping cameo outfield as he came out of goal for 10 minutes in the second half and scored twice. Striker Shay Blackwood also hit a double, while captain and midfield enforcer Freddie Geraghty was also on target for West End.
Mason Kirkman was voted West End’s player-of-the-match after putting in an excellent display in the heart of defence.
Under-10s Division
NEWCOMER Louis McGovern hit a stunning hat-trick on Saturday as The Heath recorded a 5-1 win over Soccerscool.
Danny Cochrane and Harry Murtagh also both found the back of the net, but it was clear who caught manager Luciano Bagarone’s eye.
“I can see a bright future in football for Louis because he plays with such elegance and is fitting in with the other boys really well,” he said. “I am very proud of how the boys have started off the season, playing with such positivity and flare.”
