BIRTHDAY boy Marlon Cang had plenty of reason to cheer on Saturday as FC Sapo Verde ended the season in the Camden and Regent’s Park Youth League.

Marlon capped a player-of-the-match display by scoring a crucial penalty to seal a 1-0 win over The Heath.

But the Heath were celebrating, too, as they were crowned Under-11s champs.

FC Sapo Verde, nicknamed The Frogs, finished as runners-up. Frogs’ boss Tracy Dowsett said: “We played our socks off and had lots of fun, with players choosing where they wanted to play for our final match.”
