ISLINGTON Admiral Youth stretched their unbeaten run in the Camden and Islington Youth League to three games on Friday, battling out a goalless draw against Futebol De Salao.
The under-13s side (above) were unlucky not to take the lead at Market Road when Jack Price picked the ball up in his own half and beat three players, only to see his rasping effort come back off the foot of the post.
Admiral had another chance to take all three points in the final minute when Max Swinton latched on to Teddy Tumbridge's cross and forced a good save from the FDS keeper.
Goalkeeper George Isaac played his part as he made a string of saves to keep his second successive clean sheet, while Admiral captain Liam Bradley was man-of-the-match for tireless work in defence.
Manager John Tumbridge said: “The boys are doing fantastic, They’re a great bunch of players who train really hard. They’ve adapted really well in what is a very difficult league, their attitude and their work rate is outstanding.”
