TOMAS Rosicky has won back the support of Arsenal fans by orchestrating a stunning comeback in the north London derby.
The “Little Mozart” was among the players slammed by supporters following lacklustre performances against AC Milan in the Champions League and Sunderland in the FA Cup.
But on Sunday Arsene Wenger said Rosicky was one of Arsenal’s most reliable performers, putting the Czech midfielder on a pedestal next to goal-machine and captain Robin van Persie.
“I love Tomas Rosicky, personally, as a man and as a player,” said the Gunners’ boss.
“You know, he is exactly like Robin.
You know what you get with him.
“When he can be not in and out, and can have consistency and freedom from injury, he’s a fantastic player. Everyone loves to play with Tomas.”
The 31-year-old capped a man-of-the-match display when he nipped in at the near post to notch his first league goal in two years as Arsenal come from 2-0 down to win 5-2 against Tottenham at the Emirates Stadium.
Rosicky received endless praise after the game, including former Gunners’ defender Martin Keown, who said “…it was the best performance of his Arsenal career”.
“For his goal he made a run he would never have normally – darting into the box. He looked to play decisive passes, was tenacious in the tackle, and looked like the player Arsenal signed in 2006.
“An all-action performance.”
