• JUST had to write to say how sad I was to hear of Lou’s passing. As the notice said, Louis Raynes lived his life to the full. Can’t ask for more than that.

I first met Lou at Unity Theatre in the 1950s. Unity was the starting point for many people who went on to make their names in the profession – Michael Gambon, Bob Hoskins and Tom Adams to name but a few.

Lou was a lovely man and the world will be a poorer place without him.
