FIREFIGHTERS are tackling a blaze at a shop in Eversholt Street this evening with smoke seen pouring out of a parade near Mornington Crescent station.

The fire appeared to have begun in a shoe repair shop. Firefighters used hoses to douse the flames on the ground floor, but smoke could still be seen pouring from the windows on the upper floors.

Witnesses said they heard small “explosions” from inside the shop.
