Fire crews dampen down the site Pic: London Fire Brigade

THIRTY-FIVE firefighters tackled a blaze at an Indian restaurant on the Finchley Road this afternoon (Tuesday).

Nobody was injured as staff had left the building before the London Fire Brigade had arrived, shortly after midday. Roads were closed as crews moved to stop it spreading.

The Brigade said that “the cause of the fire is under investigation”.
