Another fire in Camden Lock
• YOUR article (A new fire casts doubt on the future of the Lock, July 13) should have been asking why is it that the land overlooking the canal has had more fires than any part of Camden? And why is it not too costly to repair and develop as high-end flats and houses, but too costly to put it back to what it was?
Camden Lock is a really good location and was part of the plans to develop all the lands overlooking the canal.
A few years ago, just over the bridge, a big fire made sure the land was ready to be made into what it is now. So I really think there should be an investigation.
If, after the latest fire the land is turned into high-end flats and offices, we will know something is cooking… and not the good food from the locals.
