SOCIAL distancing is a new part of post-coronavirus sport, but at least the Highbury Wolves pack are together again in the same park.

The youth football club have returned to training in Barnard Park, Islington, with head coach David Scrafton insisting that the lockdown “hasn’t dampened the passion” of his players and, in fact, has only made them hungrier.

He added: “You never know how much you miss something until you can’t do it for a while.

“To see the players training again has been an amazing experience.”

The Wolves are now seeking boys aged six to 14, and girls aged 10 to 15, to join their ranks.

Training for the girls takes place every Tuesday between 5pm and 6pm, while the boys’ sessions are held on Thursdays at the same time. The club are also hosting weekday camps between 1pm and 4pm. Call David on 07988 662 344 for further details.
