Wee Jessie

A WOMAN who had a suspected heart attack is hoping to be reunited with her dog that went missing after she collapsed in the street.

A “find wee Jessie” campaign is under way after Kat Conway blacked out by St Pancras Hotel in Euston Road at around 2pm on Monday.

Her little Shih Poo sat obediently by her side but could not come in the ambulance with her, supporters said.

The apricot-furred rescue female, with distinct bowed front legs, is chipped and neutered and was wearing a matching collar and leash with a pink and white tartan.

A man with blond curly hair came to Ms Conway’s aid and called the ambulance.

The team is hoping the “kind Samaritan” will come forward and help reunite the dog with Ms Conway.

Vicky Hudson, a director of Missing Paw Team UK which has taken up the case with consent of the owner, said: “A lady collapsed and was treated by the ambulance service.

“She was on her way back to Scotland after visiting her daughter for the Jubilee. She is still very unwell but also beside herself with worry about Jessie.”

The dog’s full name is Wee Jessie James Rose Conway.

Find Wee Jessie groups have been set up on Facebook and Instagram.

Ms Hudson added: “I’m ex-ambulance, and so I am aware there are protocols for this. There are charities that work with the London Ambulance Service precisely for when this happened. I think what will have happened is a member of the public has taken control of the dog but hasn’t got in touch afterwards for whatever reason.”
