ARSENAL Ladies will bring the curtain down on a disappointing campaign in the Women’s Super League on Sunday when they travel to Everton for their final game of the season.

Attempts to retain their crown have ended with the Gunners finishing third in the league regardless of what happens on Sunday, with Liverpool and Bristol Academy going head-to-head in a final day title decider.

If missing out on a hat-trick of title triumphs wasn’t bad enough, Arsenal were also deducted three points last week for fielding Katie Chapman during their 3-0 win over Liverpool in August when she was unregistered.

But Shelley Kerr’s side don’t have time to dwell on missed opportunities as they prepare to face Lincoln in the Continental Cup final.
