• CHATTING with hundreds of residents across Kilburn in the run-up to the elections has only reconfirmed how infuriating “partygate” is.

People in Kilburn and across Camden are, of course, anxious about the cost-of-living crisis.

Business owners on Kilburn High Road are understandably finding it difficult to bounce back from the pandemic.

And Kilburn families are finding it nearly impossible to find an affordable, good quality, home to rent privately.

These are some of the big issues raised time and again. And these are issues Labour candidates are working hard to address.

Yet our national politics is completely distracted. We have a prime minister who is a disaster, a law-breaker and a liar.

And Conservatives are seemingly happy with this! This means we are unable to talk about the issues that really matter to each of us.

I hope everyone in Camden uses the election to send a message to Boris Johnson and the Conservatives.

We are fed up with “partygate” and the lies; we want elected representatives who are on our side and focused on the issues that really matter.
