Failures over Covid advice

‘Public health advice on ‘face’ and ‘space’ is not observed’
• I LIVE in a 19-storey tower block, Mary Green.
The council notified tenants of 102 flats about the precautions they should follow with regard to Covid-19 but many tenants disregarded the instruction. The council failed to uphold the guidelines during lockdown despite numerous complaints.
Since lockdown lifted Camden’s public health advice in the CNJ seems to be not worth the paper it is printed on. Public health advice on “face” and “space” is not observed by many tenants in the lift and foyer as it is no longer mandatory.
In addition, the council failed to maintain the lifts causing avoidable inconvenience to those tenants who abide by the public health advice. One lift has been out of order for over a month since August 19.
Earlier this lift was out of order for over two weeks (April 6 to April 20) and over six weeks (October 6 to November 20 last year). The second lift also has a history of breakdown. Tenants are putting up with longer period of breakdowns but Camden has failed to compensate us for the inconvenience.
Furthermore the council have been charging for CCTV service but CCTV was not working. This came to light when police wanted CCTV footage for a crime. The council failed to provide the CCTV footage and when this was exposed they prevaricated and failed to refund the charges for not providing CCTV service.
