Eric Gordon’s impact was enormous

• ERIC Gordon’s impact was enormous, (Eric Gordon: Tributes to Camden’s great chronicler as founder and editor of CNJ dies at 89, April 8).
Hereabout he gave support to secure establishment of our local park at a critical time.
It is probably safe to say that without him, Talacre Gardens would not have been designated as a Town Green and it may well have become a car park and access road to the Talacre development at Dalby Street.
I read with interest his excellent book Freedom is a Word and attended his lecture at the Communist Party of London and found him to be an enigma, still.
He was a character the like of which we shall not see again. With gratitude.
