Eric Gordon was ‘the Columbo of London’s newspaper sector’
• I AND all at Ben Uri Gallery and Museum are greatly saddened to learn of editor Eric Gordon’s passing, (Eric Gordon: Tributes to Camden’s great chronicler as founder and editor of CNJ dies at 89).
Almost of equal scale is to learn this man of overwhelming energy and vitality was 89 years young.
Eric was the Columbo of London’s newspaper sector. He was one of the most effective all round journalists in the business. He cared about nothing except for quality journalism and engaging with the story or those creating it.
He was a great friend of Ben Uri Gallery and Museum and visited and explored each exhibition meticulously. We will miss him greatly and send our most sincere condolences to his family and all at the CNJ.
