THERE could be an upset on the cards this Monday when players in the Chalk Farm Pool League turn their attentions towards the Liam Tarrant Cup.
Last season’s runners-up the King’s Cross Hurricanes (pictured) will go into the competition in confident mood after beating the Sir Robert Peel ‘B’ team 7-2 on Monday in their Division One contest.
But the Hurricanes know that they are going to have to be at their very best if they are to beat Islington-based newcomers Cousins Elite.
Elite are strong title contenders in Division Two after winning all of their games since joining the league, a run that continued on Monday when they beat rivals Islingtons Bank of Friendship 8-1.
