THE Channons of Isledon Wolves continued their great start to the season on Friday when they came from behind to beat Regent’s Park 3-2 at Market Road.
A clinical finish from star player Mearga Tesfai kept the Channons in the game in the first half, although they went in 2-1 down at the break. But in a sublime second-half showing Hayden Miller equalised for Wolves before debutant Terrell Lawrence-Newton forced home the winner late on.

HOTSHOT David Mehmeti hit two as Isledon Wolves clawed out an impressive win over CM Futsal on Friday. Bradley Carrete and Ethan Irvine were also on target as Wolves wrapped up a 4-1 win to remain just one point behind leaders St John’s Wood.
Keiron Loughney was voted man-of-the-match after putting in a solid defensive display.
Under-15s Division
GOALS from Ibs Rashid and Bassam Menhal helped injury-hit Isledon Wolves earn a 2-2 draw against Brimsdown Rovers on Monday.
Under-16s Division THE Eagles edged out club-mates the Lions in the battle of Lyndhurst on Tuesday. Daniel Leonard gave Lyndhurst Eagles the lead on the stroke of half time, before a fine finish from Jack Madden doubled their advantage within minutes of the restart.
The Lyndhurst Lions pulled a goal back through Callum Cushing, and were only denied an equaliser thanks to inspired goalkeeping by Sam Barlow.
The Eagles extended their lead when Leonard finished off a swift counter-attack to score his second of the game.
The Lions then set up a nervous finale when Cushing grabbed his second from the penalty spot, but the Eagles managed to hold on to net a thrilling 3-2 victory.
Under-17s London FA
County Cup
RYAN FC began the defence of their London Cup title on Sunday with a 2-0 win over Wingate and Finchley.
George Yianni looked odds on to score midway through the first half after Sadiqur Rahman was brought down in the box, but his penalty was well-saved by the Wingate keeper. Yianni redeemed himself minutes later when he fired past the keeper after being played in by skipper Berckan Belindir. Ryan wrapped up the win in first half stoppage time when Rahman scored from close range.
