Driving while on the phone is wrong
Thursday, 7th March 2019
• ON Monday I noticed a woman I believed to be from the Royal Free Hospital staff on the phone as I entered the car park from Fleet Road. Then I heard her car start up and I realised that she was intent on continuing her call without activating any hands-free device.
The hospital should promote good health and good practice and this is not it. I urge the management to monitor the car park for this sort of issue and to have a parking attendant. And maybe to put up several “Do not drive while on the phone” posters.
I do not believe it is a lot to ask that hospital staff members respect the law. In reality this woman should be get six points on her licence.
