Drivers should look out for other road users

• TWICE in two days I’ve had a near miss while riding my bike.

Each time, the driver failed to look both ways at a four-way crossing in Hampstead where it was my right of way. Why is it that car drivers feel they don’t need to watch out for others?

If a driver hits a cyclist because they’ve failed to look properly, they will probably lose their licence, they may lose their livelihood and they will have to live with the fact they may have killed or injured someone.

It’s worth slowing down and looking once, if not twice before you pull out.
