Drivers beware of entering the market
Thursday, 5th April 2018
• HAVING been successful in drastically reducing the number of stalls trading on Queen’s Crescent Market, Camden Council has decided to open all seven gates leading onto the market to traffic earlier than should be. They now open at 4pm on Thursdays and Saturdays.
Apart from endangering the lives of the very few traders that are packing up their stalls at that time the road closure is still in force, and new cameras have been activated to capture all drivers entering the market between 7am and 5.30pm on Thursdays and 7am and 6pm on Saturdays who all receive a £60 fine.
There are no warning signs to tell you not to enter the market on these days as the closure of the gates made this obvious. I have witnessed hundreds of cars being caught.
So please drivers, beware, do not enter the crescent even though the gates are open or you will be just pouring funds into Camden Council. Don’t you just love them!
