Fumes and fury

• THE other day, as I was walking down Aspern Grove, a big BMW was not only parked on the double yellow lines but the driver was leaving the engine running.

I tapped on her door with my walking stick to point out it was illegal in Camden unnecessarily to cause further pollution, when she screamed it was “illegal to touch her car”.

I also tried to explain that she made it difficult for the ambulances that were often needed for Argenta House. She screamed at me further saying – with pride – “I work for Camden Council”.

On a previous occasion a man with an expensive car had also parked for some time in the same place, same problem.

He too was aggressive and as I eventually realised he was a drug dealer I decided it was wiser to be a coward and ignore the situation.

I have since been told the dealers have moved around here and I also realise why there are so many big expensive cars here.
