CHAMPIONS Sir Robert Peel knocked King’s Cross Hawks off their perch on Monday night to regain top spot in division one of the Chalk Farm Pool League.

John Brown’s side (pictured) made the most of their home advantage as they ran out 6-3 winners following an enthralling contest in Queen’s Crescent. The result leaves Peel four points clear at the top of table.

There was double delight for Peel as their ‘B’ team pocketed their first win of the season with a 5-4 victory over Boston Arms.

In sharp contrast to their counterparts, the win still leaves Peel’s ‘B’ team bottom of the table – but gives them plenty of hope that they can now go on to beat the drop.

The biggest win in the top flight came courtesy of Cousins Elite, who beat Boston Rimmers 7-2 to record their third win in six matches.

There was no doubting the result of the night in division two, as Slattery’s won 5-4 against Cock Tavern to chalk up their first win of the campaign.

Winning certainly hasn’t been a problem for early pace-setters King’s Cross Barbarians. They kept up their hot streak by beating Slattery’s Squatters 5-4 to make it six wins out of six and open up a seven point lead at the top.
