• IF Cllr Pat Callaghan and David Dimbleby wish to self-harm so be it, but please don’t glamorise or publicise this disgusting practice, (Pat’s tats: Deputy council leader explains love of body art, October 11).

Children are easily influenced and the more this is seen as the norm the more we will see this obscene act encouraged and normalised.
