POLICE have released images of a man they want to speak to after a woman was raped in Camden High Street.
The woman, aged in her 20s, was approached by an unknown man as she smoked a cigarette outside the Camden Head pub at around 10pm on December 27 last year, police said.
As she left the pub, she was followed by the man. She tried to push him away several times, but he grabbed her and forced her into an alleyway where she was raped, detectives said.
Police said that the woman had “continually screamed for help and the man eventually fled the scene in the direction of Mornington Crescent”.
DC Jonny Rodgers said: “This is a very busy area and there were many people around with it being the festive period. Do you remember seeing this man on the evening of 27 December?
“I would urge anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV to contact us as a matter of urgency, it is very important that we identify and speak to him.”
