DEFENDING champion Paul Smith (pictured) lost more than his crown on Monday night when he was beaten by club-mate James Mason in the semi-finals of the Chalk Farm Pool League’s Captains Cup.
After endless banter and barracking on social media, the bragging rights firmly belonged to Peckwater TA’s Mason, who pocketed a 3-0 victory over his rival from Peckwater Playboy to book his place in the final.
Meanwhile in the Divisional Cup the Hurricanes were knocked out by the Golden Lion, who will now join the Sir Robert Peel ‘A’ team, Boston Arms and the Boston Rimmers in the semi-finals.
