MIDFIELDER Nabil Bakkali was among the young stars from the Pro Touch Soccer Academy who gained valuable experience on the international scene this summer when they took part in the prestigious Dana Cup in Denmark.

The 15-year-old, who trains at Whittington Park in Upper Holloway, was part of a 42-strong squad from the academy that took part in the competition, which attracts some of the best young players from around the world.

Pro Touch will be facing competition from a little closer to home when they return to Denmark next summer.

Co-founder of the Camden and Regent’s Park Youth League Ash Rahman has revealed that plans are being put in place to enter a representative side from the league next year.

“Our goal is to give kids from across Camden and Islington the chance to compete on the international stage,” he said.
