A CYCLIST has died in hospital following a collision with a coach in Holborn.

Architecture expert Francis Golding, 69, was injured in Southampton Row last Tuesday at around 6.40pm.

He was taken to St Mary's Hospital for treatment but was pronounced dead on Friday.

An inquest is expected to be opened at St Pancras Coroner's Court. No arrests have been made.

The collision took place one street away from where cyclist Alan Neve, 54, was killed in July.

It is also the same street on which a cyclist on a 'Boris Bike' hire cycle suffered pelvic, chest and head injuries in April after a collision with a lorry, the driver of which has since been charged with careless driving and driving a vehicle in a dangerous condition.

The collision is being investigated by officers from the Road Death Investigation Unit at Northolt.

Anyone who can assist is asked to contact the appeal line 020 8842 1817.
