Cutting help to the homeless is ludicrous
Thursday, 22nd March 2018
• I WORKED with the homeless at Crisis at Christmas. It was clear this population has very complex and often long-standing problems.
It is ludicrous that the clinical commissioning group is cutting this service by almost 30 per cent at a time when the number of homeless is rising.
Early intervention when people face the crisis of losing their home can be very effective. I hope that a massive cut in staff at a time of increasing demand for services does not lead to loss of morale in this team.
