Dominic Cummings

• SO, it’s one rule for a top government adviser and another for the hoi polloi!

Hasn’t Dominic Cummings got any friends in London to look after his child, or, failing that, could he not employ a child­minder like the rest of us?

Of course he should resign and apologise to the British people for all the suffering we have endured. No question. If he doesn’t resign the prime minister should sack him instead of trying to defend him.

We urgently need a government that will tackle this and future pandemics properly, investing in health and social care, investing in all necessary equipment and test, test, test, track, trace and isolate; something this government has failed so far to do, or Dominic Cummings has failed to advise.
