The Crow – Right-to-the-wire, football is agony and ecstasy – so COYS!

DON’T know about you Spurs fans, but I always prefer to listen to Arsenal matches on the radio rather than watch them on the telly box.
That way I can tune over to Woman’s Hour repeats on Radio 4 Extra if the game doesn’t go our way.

I’ve been tuning over rather a lot lately and what I don’t know about getting the most out of your lady bits as you enter the twilight years isn’t worth knowing.

I was about to switch over again on Tuesday night when some pundit suggested that Arsenal fans might like to call the radio station up to say who Arsene Wenger should sign next season.

As I’m always happy to help, I rang in and said in my best Sarf Landan accent how William Gallas would be a fine addition to the Arsenal camp next term.

For some reason the line went dead before I could add Adebayor’s name to the list.

By the time I tuned back to the match it wasn’t worth listening to either. Arsenal were winning and the realisation dawned that it really will go down to the last kick of the season.

Desperate for a pick-me-up, I texted the biggest Spurs fan I know for a few words of support. This is the reply my five-a-side team skipper Lucy O’Rourke sent: “Football is agony and ecstasy.

“Even the Arse have experienced a little of it this season. But I still know if we are victorious on Sunday our joy will surpass by miles theirs if they are victorious.

“It’s right to the wire and we will have the moral victory whatever!”

Don’t know about you Spurs fans, but that has cheered me up no end.

Now COYS!
