The Crow: The going's good for Spurs' thoroughbreds

WE didn’t play that well at the Hawthorns on Saturday but I don’t care – West Bromwich Albion scored first but that didn’t matter either.

It was of no consequence that Spurs hadn’t beaten the Baggies at home in their last five attempts because we are no longer respecters of reputation and are fast shaking off the moniker of being an easy touch.

With no Luka Modric or Rafael van der Vaart, I worried that there would be a lack of the creativity and flair seen in recent matches.

However, Spurs are running like a team of Arabian horses at the minute and came out 3-1 winners, with Emmanuel Adebayor getting another two goals and Jermain Defoe showing how a spell of bench-warming can make you want to stretch your legs!

Long may it last.

Now, I’ve heard that a certain Arsenal player has made a bet with Spurs fans on a certain social-network website: about who will be above whom come the end of the season.

Although I understand and respect the fact that all proceeds of said bet will go to the charity of choice, my question is, what are Spurs fans doing on a Gooner player’s social networking site in the first place?

I don’t know whether this next piece is a fact or just malicious rumour but apparently Arsenal had winners shirts made before last year’s Carling Cup final against Birmingham.

How premature.

Let’s hope that they didn’t do that this year eh.
