THE weather may be threatening to wash out the opening fixtures in the Middlesex Colts League this week, but the future still looks bright for Regent’s Park Cricket Club.

The rapidly-growing side has launched a new academy to give boys and girls aged seven to 11 years old the chance to develop their skills and gain a better understanding of the game.

The sessions, scheduled to get underway on Monday – providing rain doesn’t stop play – will offer children the chance to train once a week over the next 10 weeks.

The course will be running Monday to Thursday 4.30pm-6pm, and will cost £50, with children on free school dinners paying just £15. Visit www.regentsparkcricket.org for more details or contact info@regentsparkcricket.org
