A TEAM of record-breaking cricketers will be hoping they can lead Camden to glory on Sunday when they take part in the grand finals of the London Youth Games at Lord’s, writes Steve Barnett.

The super squad, made up of players from Hampstead, Regent’s Park and Primrose Hill cricket clubs, smashed a whopping 362 runs in the qualifiers, by far the highest total of the day. As a result they became the first side from Camden to qualify for the finals since the competition began in 1977.

Having already beaten teams from Sutton, Hounslow and Enfield, Team Camden will be brimming with confidence when they go for gold at the home of cricket.
