The repair in Spedan Close
YOU.Had. One. Job.
It seems repairs teams have come up with an innovative solution in Spedan Close.
A rectangular lightbulb has been fitted in a round hole on the housing estate in Hampstead in the latest baffling repair job by Camden Council.
Hampstead ward councillor Steve Adams, leader of Camden Conservatives – who had requested the fitting was fixed – said there was a wider message.
He said: “This may seem a flippant complaint about a tiny repair job but the message behind it is clear: if something can go wrong with a Camden housing repair, it probably will, and never underestimate the potential for things to go wrong in building matters.”
A Camden Council spokesperson said: “While the current bulb isn’t the exact fit, we used what stock we had available to prioritise use of the light and residents’ safety.
“A better fitting bulb will be fit as soon as possible.”
