Could the old station be reopened?

The former Kentish Town South station
• PEOPLE are truly concerned at the year-long closure of the Kentish Town Underground station to replace the old escalators, (Businesses face hit from year-long tube station closure, May 5).
It was recently casually explained by a Transport for London manager to a Camden councillor that this proposal was in the pipeline for about three years.
So, given the high demands of the area over the past three years, have there been any discussions about this with the council planners?
After all we have seen the closure of the Camden Town Underground station every so often when demand for departure overwhelms the system, usually at weekends or on special holidays.
So, Mornington Crescent closed, and Camden Town closed intermittently, and now also the next station on that line at Kentish Town is closed for a year.
There is a disused station building on Kentish Town Road at the junction of Royal College Street and Castle Road (pictured above).
It is halfway between Camden Town and Kentish Town stations and used to be called Kentish Town South. It has a large footprint front to back and has a beautiful green side passage called Castle Yard.
Its platforms can be observed from moving trains and occasionally one can see lights on. Has TfL considered its reopening over the last three years?
Is there a feasibility study and cost assessment? The increased density of the area’s occupation level would certainly have warranted such a study.
